POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Outpatient Pharmacy Services will provide leadership and direction of multiple outpatient pharmacies which offer a range of services including community retail pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, medication delivery to the bedside, mail order, Medication Therapy Management, DMEPOS, immunization program, and infusion pharmacy services. The director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of outpatient pharmacy services; ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accrediting rules and regulations; directing and controlling the purchase and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals; and responsible for all departmental planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, education, and human resource activities. The Director of Outpatient Pharmacy Services will build and maintain a cohesive relationship between senior leaders and each team member to promote effective and efficient achievement of team and strategic goals (ACHC DRX1-4A).
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
- Graduate of accredited school of pharmacy
Minimum Experience
- Three years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience
Required Registration/License/Certification
- Active and clear Registered Pharmacist License and Controlled Substance Permit from the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy
- BLS within 30 days hire/transfer
Preferred Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent
